BEAUTA BROWN Obituary

Dr. Beauta Mae Brown 90, peacefully transitioned on September 8, 2025, to reign with the Lord. She was born to the late Mr. Robert Wilson Sr. and Mrs. Bessie Wilson Pressley in Avon Park, FL on November 25,1934. Her mother and her stepfather, Mr. Robert Pressley played an instrumental role in helping to raise and care for her. On August 5, 1955, she married the love of her life, Thomas Brown Sr.

Beauta was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, co-pastor, prophet, prayer warrior, seamstress and designer, mentor, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a passionate advocate for education. Above all, she was a true lover of people. Her Christian journey began in her late teen years at the Apostolic Church of Jesus in Avon Park, Florida under Elder Harry Johnson. Even as a child, she was recognized for her spiritual sensitivity and her unique ability to hear from God.

During her early years, Beauta's vibrant personality shone through—she was a cheerleader and dancer while attending E.O. Douglass High School in Sebring, Florida, and later Dunbar High School in Fort Myers, Fl. She graduated from E.O. Douglass High School and went on to attend Florida Agricultural & Mechanical College (FAMC). Afterwards, she became a certified insurance agent, working with several companies and serving her community with professionalism and care.

Beauta ventured into entrepreneurship and became the proud co-owner of Brown’s Grocery Store and Restaurant, a beloved establishment that served and united a diverse clientele from across Highlands County. Her leadership and hospitality made the restaurant not only a successful business but also a community cornerstone.

Answering the call to ministry, she stepped away from the business and began a new chapter of service with the Highlands County School Board. She faithfully served as a dedicated bus driver for over 20 years, retiring after an impactful career of safely transporting and caring for generations of students.

She deeply loved her family and, alongside her husband, built a home rooted in faith, education, and excellence. Their commitment paid off, as all their children and grandchildren earned at least a Bachelor’s degree, bringing her great joy. Nonetheless, her passion for education extended beyond her household, as she championed others—that included first-generation college graduates. While her husband ministered in Nigeria, she co-sponsored a school for local children, which was later named in their honor.

In 1968, Beauta served as a successful companion to her husband as he became Pastor of the Apostolic Church of Jesus in Avon Park, FL. She later helped him establish a church in Mammoth Grove, FL now known as Cornerstone True Fellowship, pastored by Katrina Lunsford. In 1996, she proudly became co-founder of Faith Pentecostal House of God. During her years of ministry, she and her husband earned Doctorate Degrees in Theological Studies from the International Bible Institute and Seminary.

In obedience to God’s call, she began serving in the church’s outreach ministry under Elder Harry Johnson. Her passion and dedication soon led her to leadership, where she expanded the

ministry through weekly prayer, street services, and evangelism. Under her guidance, a multitude were saved, lives were transformed, and those in bondage found freedom and deliverance.

Beauta planted so many seeds that leaves behind a lasting legacy of what family, faith, love, and service should be in the body of Christ.
