Obituary

CARMEN DIAZ WAS BORN IN OROCOVIS, PUERTO RICO, ON JULY 16, 1927. SHE WAS ONE OF FIVE CHILDREN OF JUAN DIAZ AND SILOMENA HERNANDEZ.

SHE MOVED TO NEW YORK IN 1954. IN NEW YORK, SHE WORKED AS A SEWING MACHINE OPERATOR MAKING SLEEPING GOWNS AND OTHER CLOTHING ITEMS. 

CARMEN WAS MARRIED TO EDDIE JIMENEZ AND THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN, EDDIE JR AND SONIA. SHE LOSS HER HUSBAND IN 1973 AND SHE BECAME A SINGLE MOTHER RAISING HER TWO KIDS,

HER FAITH WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO HER. SHE BECAME A JEHOVAH'S WITNESS IN 1965. CARMEN RELOCATED TO FLORIDA IN 1980 TO BECOME HER MOTHER'S CARETAKER. SHE JOINED THE COLONIAL SPANISH CONGREGATION OF THE KINGDOM'S HALL.SHE WAS A REGULAR PIONEER SPREADING THE MESSAGE OF JEHOVAH.

CARMEN WAS PROCEDED IN DEATH BY BOTH OF HER PARENTS; SIBLINGS, JUAN DIAZ, DELIA MERCED, MARIA DIAZ AND EMERITO DIAZ AND HER HUSBAND, EDDIE JIMENEZ.

CARMEN LEAVES BEHIND HER SON, EDDIE JIMENEZ, JR. AND HIS THREE CHILDREN, ROBERT, JULIE AND JOEL; HER DAUGHTER, SONIA ORTIZ, HER HUSBAND, JOSE, AND THEIR THREE CHILDREN, JOSE, JR., TANIA AND DAVID; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, JASMINE, JOSHUA, MARIO, ANTHONY, JOSE III, AND BRIANNA.
