“That best portion of a good man’s life, his little nameless unremembered acts of kindness and love.” – William Wordsworth
It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Donald Clifford Lesoine. He was born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to Donald L. and Myra E. Lesoine (Perry) on December 5, 1945. He was called home to God on February 12, 2025, at the age of 79 at his home in Avon Park, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son Schyler Dean Lesoine, his father, Donald L. Lesoine, mother, Myra Lesoine and his brother, Dale A. Lesoine. He is survived by 4 children, Christina Lesoine Papcsy (Robert Papcsy) of Orlando, Florida, Donald Paul Lesoine of Port St Lucie, Florida, Danielle Marie Yarbrough of Bethlehem, Pa., Lauren Leah Lesoine of Scranton Pa., and 2 grandchildren Michaela A. Yarbrough of Bethlehem, Pa. and Kennedy Lesoine of Scranton, Pa. and his only remaining brother, H. Dean Lesoine of Bossardsville, Pa.
Donald was born in East Stroudsburg, Pa., in Monroe County where he remained for most of his life. It was there he chose to raise his family. He remained there until he moved to Florida in 2016. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunted all seasons, enjoyed playing softball for the church league and was involved in coaching his son in midget wrestling, which he so enjoyed. He could often be found taking his kids out hiking the Appalachian trail, ice skating on Hidden Lake, bike riding through the Poconos or taking them to Gettysburg to walk the battlefields on a weekend. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam war from 1964-1968. He was a master electrician and retired from M&M Mars Corporation in 2008 as an Operating Engineer.
He would quietly lend a hand to those that needed it, often without being asked or requiring anything in return. He was a lover of dogs and had many
throughout his lifetime. He was a champion of bully breeds, in particular. He lost his beloved Pitbull, Kahlúa, in 2023. She was his shadow and best buddy for over 16 years. Wherever he went, she went. She was always at his side.
Dad, you were brilliantly twisted, wickedly smart and beyond funny. You were as tough as nails and intense as they come. You were our favorite accomplice in so many shenanigans throughout our lives and were our biggest supporter in whatever we decided to do. Your life was a dichotomy in so many ways known only to us. You did your best to prepare us for the rough and tumble world and were always there to pick us up when we fell, without judgement. We will miss your sense of humor, your wit and intelligence, but mostly, just the love you had for us. We love you Dad and will miss you always. You fought your fight, now rest well until we see each other again. Love, All of Us
