ELLA MAE GILBERT

Mother Ella Mae Gilbert was born on February 4, 1940, in Fort Valley, Georgia, to Fletcher Clarington and Rose Lee Small. She passed away on March 5, 2026, in Sebring, Florida. A devoted homemaker, Mother Gilbert was a lifelong member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus, where she served faithfully as a Mother of the church. In 2009, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Gilbert. She is survived by her children, Barbara Robinson, Bertha Gilbert, Matilda Lane, Curtis Gilbert, Cynthia Gilbert Barrett, Jimmy Ford, and Carla Gilbert—along with special friends Ernestine Dudley and Sebill Dennard, and a host of sorrowing family and friends.
