Edith Elizabeth Cummings was born May 21, 1936, in Summerton, South Carolina. She was passed away on December 19, 2021, in Sebring, Fl.
Ms. Edith was married to her first husband, Cleveland Pyatt, Sr. from 1958 to 1976. She and her husband had three children, Cleoneeder "Cleo" Pyatt, Cleveland Pyatt, Jr. and Carlos Earl Pyatt. She later married Mr. James B. Cummings on May 22, 1984.
She worked as a hospice caregiver. She was a member of Bread for Life Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Earlene Riley,
She is survived by her children, Cleo Pyatt, Cleveland, Jr. (Sharlene L.) Pyatt, and Carlos Earl Pyatt; siblings, Halvert (Phyllis) Lawson, Jospeh (Cheryl) Lawson, Curtis Lawson, and Samuel (Pearl) Lawson; brother-in-law, Accie Riley, special cousins, Susie Peoples and Maxine Frederick; special friend, Robert Holmes; a former son-in-law, Lonnie Nobles; 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; Bread For Life Ministries, Mt Zion AME, Antioch Church of God in Christ and Progressive Church of God by Faith families.
