GEORGE THOMAS TANNER

George Thomas Tanner was born on January 1, 1937, in Hemingway, South Carolina, to Lester Tanner and Mary Louise Sansbury. He passed away on April 10, 2026, at his home in Sebring, Florida. George was married to Laura Tanner and worked as a packer for Robert Williams Moving and Storage.

He is survived by his wife Laura; children, Carin Tanner, Michael Tanner (Suzanne), George David Tanner, Christina Tanner, and Josh Tanner (Dana); brothers Reynolds F. Tanner, Raymond Tanner, and Theodore Tanner; sisters Mary Elizabeth Tanner and Bertie Nicholson (Frank); best friend Bill Coogan (Ruth); as well as five grandchildren.
