Jill Marie Romas was born as a twin on March 8, 1955, in Akron, Ohio, to Rudolph Stocko and Violet Stocko (Boston). Jill was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister Sally. She is survived by her son Chris; her older sister Lynn Gamble and her identical mirror twin Judy Moore and her brother-in-laws, John Gamble and Wes Moore; as well as six nieces.
She spent her childhood swimming at the lake and running around the neighborhood with neighborhood kids. Jill graduated from Green High School in 1973. In 1974, she began her marriage to Charles (Chuck) Romas, remaining devoted to their marriage until Chuck’s passing in 2004. Jill was the proud mother of their son Christopher Romas, whom she had a close relationship with.
In 1997, she, her husband, and son moved to Naples, FL. She was a lover of nature, especially the beach. She found great joy in saltwater fishing (a family affair), cultivating plants and flowers, and bird watching.
Throughout her career, she worked a variety of jobs. Landing as a caretaker in her most recent years, where she formed friendships with those she was caring for.
After Hurricane Ian destroyed their home in 2023, Jill and Chris relocated to Lorida with the help of a friend. Jill was a survivor of cancer and proudly celebrated 16 years of sobriety, with wonderful support from her local AA groups in Naples.
Jill was a loving and open-hearted wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and human.
