LAWRENCE JOHNS

“Larry Johns", age 91, of Sebring, Florida died October 12, 2023, in the comfort of the kind and caring medical staff at Advent Hospital.  He was born 12/24/1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Cyril and Viola Johns. He is preceded in death by his wife Louise - “the love of his life”, his brother Don Johns, and sister Sally Perkins.  He is survived by his attentive nieces Jackie Deffenbaugh of California, Carol Johns of Michigan, Dave Johns of Michigan, several nephews and nieces and his “best friend” Gerry Venne of Sebring, Florida - a Vietnam Veteran.

He was a proud and decorated veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a sergeant in the Army and a member of the local VFW.

Endearing thoughts/memories.  Uncle Larry had an infectious smile, kind way of being in the world, had a positive outlook in life, and was an exceptional husband to his late wife.  He loved his fur babies.  We were fortunate to find a loving home for his little pooch FiFi that we are so grateful for.

The memorial will be held at Francis 1 Mobile Park’s Clubhouse on January 4, 2024, between the hours of 1pm and 4pm. The address is 601 Sebring Drive, Sebring, Florida.
