Obituary
SEBRING – Mary Lou Hasting-Ballance, 70 of Sebring died Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the comfort of her home in Sebring.
Born November 30, 1952, to Joseph Hasting and Bertha Mae Hasting in Salem, Alabama she moved to Haines City where she lived for sixty-two years and moved to Sebring eight years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve “CJ” Ballance, three brothers, Bobby Jo Hasting, Ronnie Hasting, and Richard Hasting
She is survived by son Brian “Scott” Ballance and wife Anna of Winter Haven, daughters Kimberle Ann Ballance-Tish and husband Steve of Sebring; daughter Crystal Jo Ballance of Winter Haven; brother John Wayne Hasting of Haines City; sister and best friend, Shirley “Mimi” Mospaw of Winter Haven; brother, Robert Lee Hasting of Jesup, Georgia and brother, Kenneth Dale Hasting and his wife, Karen of North Florida; ten grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a celebration of life directly following service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at People’s Church in Winter Haven in the main sanctuary. Reverend by Brian Scott Balance will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her memory, to be designated for a headstone.
