Pearlie Mae Harrison of Avon Park passed away on March 28, 2026. Born on February 14, 1947, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Pearlie was the daughter of Clarence Wilson, Sr. and Louise B. Jennings. She moved to Florida in 1956 and spent over 30 years working at the Crate Mill in Avon Park. Pearlie enjoyed word puzzles, fishing, and playing the lottery, and she loved cooking collards, cabbage, and oxtails.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Linda Chandler and Penny Chandler; and her siblings, Jeanette Jennings, Marie Ann Jackson, Clarence Wilson, and Rosie Mae White.
Pearlie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lloyd Harrison, Sr.; her children, Fred Chandler, Earl Chandler, Learcher Chandler, Barbara Ann Thurmon, Mary Ann Chandler, Patricia Chandler and Tony Chandler; her siblings, John Lee Jennings and Sam Silas; her best friend, Alice June Paisley; special friends, Kenya Hawk, Savannah Jordan, and Sean Williams; and many family and friends.
