Mr. Richard Lightner was born on February 12, 1943, in Clayton, Alabama. He was the son of Frank Davis and Ada Rhymes.

Mr. Lightner worked as a mechanic. 

He leaves to cherish his legacy: wife, Betty Lightner; children, Brenda Patrick (Charles), Linda Lightner, Cynteria Morris (Timothy), Eddie Blandin (Ericka), Lanora Lightner Richardson (Jason), Jennifer Rumph, Johnny Rumph, and April Foster; bonus daughter, Sonia Smith (Carl); special friends, Lavonne Watson, Gert Robinson, Willie Watson and Ernest Palmer.and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
