Roy Bedford Kellison, Jr., of Sebring, Florida, passed away on January 17th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 21st, 1953, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Frances and Roy Kellison, Sr., Roy spent his whole life making friends wherever he went. He worked at Parker Hannifin for 41 years and was a proud member of the Loyal Order of Moose, serving a term as governor of the Ravenna Lodge and ultimately attaining the Pilgrim Degree of Merit, the order’s highest honor.
Roy married Miriam Stricklin in 1975 and together they raised two sons, Curt and Roy Kellison III. Roy was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and son. He loved animals and music and spontaneous car trips and was a lifelong concertgoer. Roy and Miriam retired to Florida and shared many happy years together with their beloved dogs in Sebring.
Roy is survived by his wife and sons; his sister, Nadine Loudin; his brother, Raymon (Connie) Kellison; his grandsons, Curtis and William Kellison; nieces, Ciarra (Nathan) Brunn and Kathleen Bess; nephews, Charlie Loudin, Zachary (Gretchen) Loudin, and Raymon Kellison, Jr.; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
There will be no memorial service, but all who knew Roy are encouraged to play the music of the Beatles and think of him. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Animal Protective League in his name.
