SAMUEL CALIXTO Obituary

Samuel Calixto (Sammy) passed away unexpectedly at age 49 on May 7, 2022 in Sebring, Florida. Sammy was born on May 10, 1972 in Methuen, Massachusetts to Valentin Calixto and late Domitila Calixto-Ortiz. He enjoyed watching the New England Patriots but his love and passion for the Boston Celtics was unmatched.

Sammy was immersed in the Christian community at an early age that would be his lifelong dedication to the Lord. His Christian’s faith was an essential part of his life. He spent a great deal of time teaching the Word of God. Sammy was a faithful member of Iglesia Oasis de Restauración in Sebring, Florida and prior he was a member of Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer Asambleas de Dios in Lowell, Massachusetts. He passed away with his unbreakable faith. His love and zeal for serving and his passion for the Gospel was greatly to be admired.

Sammy is survived by his beloved wife, Liza Rivera-Calixto; his stepsons Timothy and Anthony Dally; his father Valentin Calixto-Laboy, his brothers Valentin, Hector and Jose Calixto; his sisters Elizabeth, Johanna and Wendy Calixto; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, brothers and sisters in Christ and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Domitila Calixto-Ortiz.
