Sandra Louise Crawford was born June 21, 1963 in Hughes, Arkansas to the parentage of Earnest Crawford Sr. and the late Barbara Marie Giles-Hardy. She was preceded in death by her sister Teresa and her brother Earnest Jr, affectionately known as “Flat”. She accepted the hand of the Lord on May 19, 2021 to enter her eternal home. She will be terribly missed on this side of Heaven.
Sandra accepted the Lord as her Savior in July of 1976 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church under the tutelage of the late Rev. J.W. Daughtery. She later moved to Beulah Missionary Baptist Church to join her mother and other family members. In 2019, she reaffirmed and established her faith in Christ knowing that in Him she has eternal life.
Sandra was educated in the Highlands County School System and a member of the Avon Park High School Class of 1981. She enjoyed her classmates and close friendships. She worked as a Home Healthcare Aide to assist the elderly in many facets of need. Her quiet demeanor and humble heart resonated strength beyond words.
Those remembering that smile, laugh, and good times are her children: Eric D. Smith, Jerome L. Wooden, Ashley M. Crawford, and Shanice L. Crawford. Her father, Earnest Crawford Sr, siblings: Larry (Trevina), Richard Crawford, Irving Crawford, Jacqueline Crawford-Smith (Horace), Willie C. Hardy Jr. (Pokey), Jevon Tyms, and Jacqueline Stokes-Jackson. She leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members who will forever cherish her memories.
“Long ago, the Lord said to Israel: I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT).
