Wayne E. Cole Sr., age 84 of Cardington passed away Saturday November 25, 2023, at his home in Sebring Florida. He was born on July 24, 1939, to the late George and Faye (Huddleson) Cole.
Wayne was a school bus driver for Cardington-Lincoln Schools for over 25 years, had worked at HPM for over 20 years, worked many years for John Deere in Bellville Ohio, and owned Weiner's Produce in Cardington for 15 years, which was probably his favorite (job) of all time.
Wayne was a member of the V.F.W., Moose Lodge, American Legion, and a lifetime member of the Cardington Fire Department. Wayne loved his dog Nugget and getting back to selling produce in Florida.
Wayne is survived by his children: Vickie (Don) Criswell of Sebring, FL., Charles Cole of Williamsport, Wayne (Paula) Cole Jr. of Gonzales, TX., and Eric Cole with Tricia Russell of Ostrander; four grandchildren: Leslie (Kenneth) Barrett, Raymond (Lud) LaRoche Jr., Laura White with Sam Sullivan, and Alex (Morgan) Cole, nine Great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, and his stepmother Bernice Cole, Wayne was preceded in death by his five brothers: Paul, Clyde, Harold, Carl, and Vaughn Cole, his three sisters; Dorothy Dye, Helen Hunt, and Myrtle Luther; as well as his step siblings: Paul Bean, Harold Bean, Franklin Bean, Charles Bean, and Olive Fetter.
A celebration of life service will be shared at a later date.
