Wayne Orville O’Neil Hentley
Born 11/18/1955 in Kingston Jamaica W.I. He attended Mavisville Prep in Mountview, Huntley Primary School in Manchester, Erasmus High School in Brooklyn, Cornell University, NYU & University of Madrid (in which he graduated with a Masters of Linguistics). Wayne taught English at the University of Madrid for over 20 years. Wayne worked in the linguistics field the majority of his adult life serving as a translator at Nova Scotia Banks and an educator both in the US and abroad. Among Wayne's many talents he spent time modeling in New York and Madrid. After returning to the U.S., he accepted a position at Jones High School in Orlando, FL as a ESOL teacher for several different languages. Wayne was an avid Horticulturist. His passion for plants both indoor and outdoor plants grew to a level in which he was able to advise others. He was an active member of multiple online groups with others that had the same passion. Wayne leaves family members to cherish the moments they were able to have with him. His sisters, Karen Hentley Shepard, Annette Octave; Niece, Jennifer Pinard-Cameron; Nephews, Dwuan Pinard (Alison Pinard), Jevon Pinard (Christina Pinard); Devan Shepard; Grand-Nieces, Avani Pinard, Dimya Pinard, Jayla Pinard, Jayde Pinard; Grand-Nephews, Dominique Cameron, Kwmane Pinard, Kiwane Pinard, Jemarques Pinard (Ivianna Pinard), Jeovony Cameron (Zahasia Cameron), Jamarri Shepard, Jevon Pinard II(JP); Great Grand-Nieces, Kira Pinard, Brooklyn Pinard; Great Grand-Nephews, Kyan Pinard, Landen Cameron, Royce Pinard. And a host of family members and friends both locally and abroad each that was special and dear to Wayne. Wayne had a good life and we measure this not only by his accomplishments but also by those lives he has touched and the people still here with the cherished memories.
